Cotton Queens visit Lancashire Authors’ Association Collection at the University of Bolton
On Friday, 9th June, the Cotton Queens were invited to a workshop hosted by Dr Kim Edwards-Keates, lecturer in English at the University of Bolton. Group members were introduced to the Lancashire Authors’ Association Collection by Tim Leonard, from the library, and were presented with an interesting overview of the collection contents by Kim. Members were excited to be given the opportunity to look through some of the primary source material in the collection. Members were particularly interested in researching the poems, songs and writing of Ethel Carnie Holdsworth and Mary Thomason.
